M-Chair Dining Chair - Fully Upholstered (Base: Black Matt, Standard Glides, Upholstery: Bonito, JAB (075, Standard)

The M-Chair was designed by Marcel Gascoin in 1937 and represents an early chapter in the French designer's work. This fully upholstered dining chair is characterized by its refined, floating backrest and slender, tapered metal legs in a black matt finish. The design unites a graphic lightness with precise proportions, making the chair suitable for both private homes and professional environments.

Materials and finish: The chair is crafted with a frame in black matt lacquered metal, providing a modern contrast to the upholstered back and seat. The upholstery is executed in Bonito textile from JAB, which adds a tactile dimension to the chair's sleek architectural form. The balance between the slender metal legs and the plush upholstery creates a harmonious expression that rests naturally within the Scandinavian design tradition.

Design history: The M-Chair has been brought into production by Gubi based on historical archival references. It showcases Gascoin's ability to unite functionality with a simple idiom prior to his later well-known works in wood. The chair's construction supports a comfortable seating experience, while the light design ensures it can be easily integrated into various interiors.

Product information: The chair has the measurements H: 100 cm, L: 50 cm and D: 60 cm. It is fitted with standard glides and upholstered with the textile type Bonito from JAB in color 075.
